Vietnam LRRP/LRP 2012 Poster Design
Reworking the original LRRP poster from 2003 and again in 2010 - this version has a darker background than the others. The limited availability of 'special-use' camo at the time, especially the tiger striping style made these units unique in their ability to remain hidden during long periods watching trails, roads and streams.
We have taken all the units from the Vietnam era that were eventually changed into the 75th Ranger Regiment units that we all know today. Each Ranger Company has a specific letter association and unit designation. Although known by many different names (e.g. LURP, LRRP, Long Range Patrol), the harsh conditions that these men faced set the standard for Ranger units for the next 40 years.
Having served in the 82nd Long Range Surveillance Detachment for 6 years, its an honor to recreate the little known Ranger designs from Vietnam and to have been a part of the 'grandkids' of the original LRRPs from O Company, 75th Rangers.
